New York & Home Again

Sorry for the length between journal entries!  Life has been pretty full on!  After we left OK we took a two day drive to New York state- Ballston Lake to be exact- and it is gorgeous!!  We had a great time catching up with my husband's family!  Thank you Aunt Rita and Uncle Eugene for opening your home to us!  It was incredibly generous of you!  While there we went to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown and had a great time with our cousin Josiah!  I was a little bit concerned on the way there as we were going down all of these country backroads...lol.  Thank you Tom Tom for navigating us through the twists and turns safely!

Also while we were in New York we had the opportunity (and great pleasure) to meet Pastor Ernie North and his wife Robyn of Fruitful Vine Christian Church.  Mike, Jasmine and I were eating lunch and "happened" to meet Pastor Ernie who invited me to sing at his church the next day.  It was such a beautiful God occurrence of being in the right place at the right time!  To everyone at Fruitful Vine- thank you for welcoming us into your beautiful church family!  We love you and we are so thankful that God brought us together!

We cut the tour a bit short and are actually home now- we were originally going to be out until August 2, but some things came up.  We are still scheduled to sing in Bradenton the first week of August- we'd love to have you stop by if you are in the area.

With everything that we've gone through in the past few weeks a new motto has reigned over my life- two simple words, "Let not!"

John 14:26-27:  "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach  you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.  Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.  Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."

With every troubled time in life we have an opportunity to trust God and to declare that our hope and strength is in Him.  There is no 7 step plan to getting you through the day of trouble, but there is a promise of His rest and peace.  All we have to do is "Let not," His love and grace will do the rest.

Know that I love you, believe in you, and that I'm thrilled to be sharing this God adventure called life with you!

Be Blessed!!  And Let Not!! :)

Big hugs!!
