While You're Waiting
These past few weeks, much of my time has been spent waiting. Waiting for the nurse, waiting for the kids to get out of school, waiting for Mike to get home, waiting to be rescued because I locked my keys in the car- well, you get the picture. There is something to be said for time spent waiting as it will hopefully help one develop patience. Don't worry, I'm talking about myself here! :)
Have you ever felt that you were just in one big waiting room? Perhaps God has given you a vision to change the world but you are waiting for it's due season. Maybe you feel something stirring in your spirit and you believe that a new season is about to open up in your life, but it's not quite time yet and so you wait.
Here's the big lesson - the key to waiting- are you ready? The key to waiting is how you wait. Do you cross your arms and sit back, frustrated that things are not different? Or do look to what you do have and make the most of your wait? I pray that you will chose the latter! Habakkuk 2:3 gives us a beautiful message about waiting, "For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come," (emphasis added). I implore you, don't waste your wait. Shake off your doubts and smile confidently at the future baby for God is with you!
As always, you are loved. You are treasured. You have great value.
